SHREKFEST FAQ

Q: Is this real?

A: It's very real! This will be the third annual Shrekfest to grace Madison, and the first even made the local newspaper! http://host.madison.com/…/article_2a0251fe-1524-11e4-80f5-0…


Q: How much does it cost?
A: Admission for Shrekfest has always been free, and that will continue in 2016! There will be a crowdfunding campaign to help with costs coming shortly, stick around for your chance to pitch in and land limited-edition Shrekfest 2016 merchandise! Once it's gone, it's gone!


Q: Who can, or should, attend Shrekfest?
A: Anyone who can make it to James Madison Park on September 3rd is welcome to check out Shrekfest! We simply ask that you be respectful to the fest, the park, and your fellow festival goers! Remember, Shrekfest is an event open to Shrek fans of all ages, be respectful of those around you!


Q: Is there a dress code for Shrekfest?
A: We simply ask that you dress in a manner that is reflective of Shrekfest being open and embracing of Shrek fans of all ages. If you want to dress as your favorite character, or in some other costume, this is welcomed and encouraged!


Q: What's the food and drink situation?
A: Shrek-themed refreshments will be available at the fest, highlighted by the onion eating contest!


Q: Is this an official DreamWorks event?
A: This is a fan-made event by 3GI


Q: Will I be able to purchase merchandise at the fest?
A: Yes! This year we have a merchandise seller's permit, meaning ShrekFest and other 3GI merchandise will be available to purchase at the fest!


Q: What exactly is an interactive screening of Shrek?
A: One with strong, enthusiastic audience participation, the use of props, and occasional reenactment of iconic scenes from the film!
